Bohemian Hairstyles

The bohemian hairstyles are a huge success among Hollywood celebrities and not only. It is a great hairstyle which gives a natural but beautiful look. Here are some styling tips:

The hippie headband style has been coming back big this year and it seems that it will be staying in for a while. Hollywood celebrities seem to have fallen in love with this '70's hairstyle.

The bohemian hairstyle gives a natural, feminine look. It is very easy to style, the hair can be slightly curly or straight. Parts of the hair are braided on the sides or a hippie headband can be slipped on.

The hairstyle is low maintenance this is why most women love it. In order to create this bohemian look the hair needs to be long or medium length with volume.

Whether you like it or hate it, this hairstyle is a success and it's making a statement.

In order to pull off this boho look you need to know how to wear the hippie headband or braids:

  • part the hair in the middle or create a zigg-zagg parting in the middle of the head

  • wrap the headband around your head, on the top of the forehead

  • don't tuck the hair behind your ears and use your fingers to pull a bit of the hair up so you have a bit of volume above the headband

  • if you have bangs wear them over or under the headband or if they are long enough you can part them on the side as well

  • if you don't want to wear a hippie headband you can braid a section of hair from the lower side of your head and wrap it around your head like a headband. Pin it in place using bobby pins. You can also braid sections of hair from the sides of your head, around the temples, join them in the back of the head and secure the two braids with an elastic.
