The Greaser hairstyle was very popular back in the 1950's. This is a time when a lot of styling product was used on the hair. In order to get that slick look men would use plenty of 'grease' on their hair to keep it in place. This is where the name �greaser� came from.

The style required the hair to be combed back around the sides of the head. The hair should be a bit longer in order to style it in place. Take some styling grease or styling gel and rub it between your hands. Run your hands through your hair. Take a fine tooth, comb and comb again your hair well on the sides as well as on top of the head until the hair stays in place. Put as much grease/gel as needed.
