Some shampoos found on the market contain chemical substances that can cause allergic reactions and damage our hair, but homemade natural shampoos contain only natural ingredients an can be as effective as the store-bought ones. Here are some recipes you can use to make your own shampoo:
Shampoo made from vegetable oil soap Using a 100% vegetable oil soap you can make your own shampoo. You will need one vegetable oil soap which you will run it through a grater. Take the soap flakes and place them in a blender with some warm water until almost thick consistency- like yogurt or pudding-ish. Add � cup of olive oil, � cup of distilled water and mix them together. Use the mixture to wash your hair. The hair will be clean and soft.
Nettle Shampoo To make nettle shampoo boil 4 tablespoons of nettle plant in 500 ml of water. Dissolve 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil soap flakes in the water. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of honey. After washing rinse your hair first with water and vinegar and then with plenty of clean water.
Chamomile Shampoo Place 1 handful of fresh Chamomile flowers or 4 Chamomile tea bags in 1 � cups of boiled water and let them sit for about 10 minutes. After they are done remove the flowers or the tea bags and add 4 tablespoons of soap flakes (if you can use soap made with natural ingredients). Stir until the soap flakes have softened and add 1 � tablespoons of glycerin. Blend well and pour the mixture into a bottle keeping it into a cool, dark place or the fridge.
